Guest guest
Dear Prabhus PAMHO. AGTSP There seams to be real crisis in our society one which is recorded inpractically every forum of cow protection, and that is that the oxen are under utilised. At best we will keep them as pets. The challenge and building block to pick up the cow protection projects is to have livelihood generating employment for the oxen. Obviously if you are not earning your living from them then you are not dependant on them. I was wondering in our whole ISKCON world is ther even one family that is getting their livelihood from the energy of the ox. If they didn't have there oxen they couldn't make a living? We talk idealisticly about self sufficiency whilst we are dependant on petrol and cars and computers. Perhaps we need to address the issue realisticaly. Unless the oxen are part of an economic buiseness plan they will not be used seriously. They may be used out of fealing of duty, or nostalgia, or guilt or what else. The oxen need to be saved by the persons who need modern ammenities by those persons making their money from the enery of the oxen. Is there anybody who can say I am dependant on the ox for my living? Yours in the service of the cows Syamasundara dasa Bhaktivedanta Manor Cow Protection Project.
