Dear Balabhadra Prabhu, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to

Srila Prabhupada!

I have a problem here, which I must solve in several days practically. I

have an ox, it is one year old. Now I'm going to castrate it and put a ring

in

the nose. A local vet will do this. And I have a doubt - if this metal ring

will not cause problems, pain to the ox in the cold winter? Sometimes

temperature goes 30 C low. Or let's take avarage 12-20 C. What like will an

ox

feel having a metal ring in its nose at such temperatures?

Then, I have a subject to discuss with you personally and so I need your

e-mail adress. Mine is padma (AT) udmnet (DOT) ru.

Nose rings are a controversial subject. Many, including myself, feel they

are unnecessary if sufficient time is available to spend on establishing a

rapport with the ox.
