Guest guest
Thank you. The link you gave is not accessible at least for us. But when I typed Restore sulfnbk.exe in the seach box for www.google.com I got several sites dealing with this. If anyone has deleted the file then you can look at these sites for info. One warning is to not accept an unsolicited e-mail offering a replacement sulfnbk.exe file as that could contain a trojan virus or infected file. One of the sites that i looked at http://www.stiller.com/sulfnbk.htm says it is a DOS program used to restore long filenames and it is very rarely used. If you have NT or 2000 you do not need this file at all and it is probably not on your computer. Then it gives instructions as to how to restore it but says you may decide not to bother since it is very rarely needed. I typed a long file name and saved it and had no trouble and opened old files with long names and had no trouble. I got sucked right in to this hoax and then was very concerned to protect anyone we had written to from this computer. I am greatly sorry for the inconvenience. Guest guest
It was a hoax. The person who started it really had a virus, but it doesn't mean you have it too. This file if erased will cause a detriment to your OS operation. Ys
