SAVING MONEY ISN'T A CRIME YET, IS IT? I am so glad I am on this com, you guys are a riot. You have no Idea how much you guys make my day. Is one of the things devotees are forbidden to do, is Laugh? I not only laugh at my self, but laugh at the foibles of every one else as well. I try furiously to make a profit! sometime I am successful some time s not... Sigh! I try to improve my profit margin by finding lower cost material and I am not embarrassed to admit it, at all. Because something is less expensive that doesn't mean it is worse or does its job less well. Cheaper can mean poor quality and faulty construction. OK we all know that, but on the other hand it could mean that one manufacturer can make it for less money without compromising quality. Do you only buy the most expensive material be it food stuffs or materials? No of course not! You shop around for the best prices. I am suppressed that you are so vehement about the Americans not using bovine rennet any more but use an organic rennet! Hooray for them! Now in the USA we can eat cheese we didn't make our selves. There is an additional benefit that the bad Karma caused by eating cheese with animal rennet is now gone. Lighten up guys! The days are too full of wonder and beauty to get your panty hose in a knot over something that light weight. At least I get wound up over tomato horn worms attacking my tomatoes. I feel justified to defend my tomatoes because I love tomatoes. But well at least you have a passion about something. That in an of its self is good. Krishna and cheap vegetable rennet. OK I can live with that! Carol > > > > DGilsen (AT) aol (DOT) com [DGilsen (AT) aol (DOT) com] > > Re: Rennet > > > >If you buy organic rennet it will work. Guest guest
Just because a product is organic doesn't mean that it is free of animal products. For everyone's info, do not make such a presumption because organic standards allow the production of meat and the use of slaughterhouse byproducts. I don't know if this applies to organic rennet but would check into it.
