It crossed my mind that although the world is still ticking on, post millennium's eve, the fact is that much of the planet is reeling from disaster after disaster. If a person were to be granted a vision of what is happening around the world at this time, sort of like a long dream, highlighting all the suffering, they would have the impression without doubt that the earth is suffering a terrible cataclysm. It cannot be denied, even if it is not affecting us all directly. We only get to catch glimpses of the suffering on TV occasionally or in a magazine (so far). Whatever you want to call it, the world is suffering from an on-going disaster, and it is getting worse. Even if the millenium is a Christian notion, Krsna has a great sense of timing!
