Guest guest
Haribol Fellow farmers Well guys While I respect Srila Prabhupada words and teachings I am not so sure planting enough for all the rabbits to share is a remote possibility. There is a horrifying event that just occurred in Australia seems all the conditions were perfect and the mouse population exploded. No, there weren't a few extra mice there were millions and millions of extra mice. The crops had been great the harvest bountiful the mice grew to fit the bounty. It was estimated that there was a mouse for every square meter they literally ate every thing! There are pictures of them literally knee deep in the dairy and grannerys. then when the food was eaten up the mice started eating or at least biting the humans and cattle the cats were overwhelmed and ran to hide. YOU CANNOT BRIBE ANIMALS! If a critter finds a good food sourse why would it want to move on? It will stay and breed, Rabbits, tame ones have eight babies every two months. I don't know what it is for wild cotton tails but..... Even if they have four every two months and are capable of breeding at age four or five months If you have ten female wild cotton tails to start with you will have forty the first five months and 160 by the tenth month on and on. If you encourage them by providing them with food you are inviting disaster. Yes, I know that the Australia incident is an exception, but If my son wanted to starve me to death by eating my food I would probably let him and his children have my food even if it meant my own death. But That is not an event I would like to face. ANIMALS WILL GROW TO FILL THEIR ENVIRONMENT. I prefer not to give my lessor brothers and sisters an opportunity to destroy my crops nor do I intend to plant for them. If Prabhupada said we can use deadly force to protect our lives well I am in complete agreement. Carol
