Guest guest
I planted a dwarf Stella sweet cherry for Krsna's pleasure, but I don't know if I'll ever have any cherries to offer Krsna because it is being devastated by Japanese beetles. I tried a commercial detergent/pyretheum spray, Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap, and crushed garlic. The garlic seems to work the best, but there are still some beetles chewing the leaves -- and there are only about 20 leaves left on the whole tree. I've seen those bags that catch beetles, but I just don't think they would work because the neighbors Virginia creeper and raspberries are loaded with beetles. Anyway, I think everything else can tolerate them at the end of the season. I'm just worried about the little tree. I need some kind of repellent. Any suggestions? your servant, Hare Krsna dasi
Guest guest
An alternative for a small tree may be to cover it with something like a row cover. - "Noma T.
