Guest guest
But he himself studied economics and other managerial things, and was for long time a very succesfull buisenessman and manager, thus acumulated a lot of experience in the art of management and dealing with diferent kind of people and situations, wich he later used in Krsnas service in his ISKCON society. Bhaktivinod Thakor could also give a good example since he was a ksatrya I think, governor or so. But also he I think learnd something about his profesion or not? My point was this, not to condemn economics or anything else, anything can be used in Krsna’s service. But it can be also used in Maya’s service or in other words the service of my senses, be it subtle or gross. It is simply a question of MOTIVE, and that was my point. You go on to say... Or let us say that Gaurakisora das Bhabaji would have started ISKCON, so he was by material understandings iliterate I think and could not read, so would that mean that all his followors should have followed his example and remain iliterates, thats ridiculious I think. This is irrelevant as to what I was saying, and so is... I hope you understand what I wanted to say. I think the spiritual master sets the spiritual example not necesarily also the material one. This was not my point. Let me explain. I have been a devotee 20 years and I have seen devotees take positions of leadership, but because they did not follow Srila Prabhupada’s mood, which was that he served those whom he led, they took advantage of those positions, and exploited that situation, in various gross and subtle ways. Srila Prabhupada said “he who FOLLOWS can lead” Therefore how sincere a leader is -should be judged, how much is he wanting to see the mission of his spiritual master carried out. This has 2 aspects- his verbal instructions- unfortunately, currently we are seeing that despite so many in leadership positions, very few are really encouraging this simple living and farm-based varnasrama that SP so much wanted implemented - his mood, or his example- that he was very personal and caring, that he was careful not to waste a cent, that he used everything in Krsna’s service, etc. My point is, that these are more important criteria than academic qualification, for pushing on this mission. If the motive is on track, to please Krsna and guru, Krsna carries what we lack in material qualifications ys, niscala ____ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
