Dravinaksa Prabhu.

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Great to hear from you.

The good news is, if you don't already know, that the farm will not be sold.

A majority of the GBC voted in favour of keeping it.

Kadamba Kanana Maharaja has taken responsibility for developing it. I am

also going to check it out. You may not remember me. I came there early 86,

and was running the carpenteria. I agree it could be a wonderfull and

thriving village.

We are looking at the idea of creating a sort of Eco-village. I would like

to see a sort of two pronged approach. One being to develop cottage

industries producing products that would appeal to visitors from Madrid, and

a parralel developing that allots land to Grihastas under certain

conditions. Maybe the beginnings of a varnasrama situation.

Idealy the varnasrama approach means living simply, and not trying to make

profit. But the situation as it is requires profit to get going, and for

many, as incentive. Also of course people will be attracted to see what is

happening and to purchase the products.

I thought that maybe we could allot small plots under lease conditions to

Grihastas for housing, and seperate lands could be leased for agricultural

use, according to their ability to use the land. Certain cottage industries

would require less land. Devotees that are successfull in developing land

can have as much as they can use. Percentages would be taxed as per

varnasrama conditions as applicable.

I can't quite remember the lay of the land there, but it would make sense to

keep the housing in an area where the land is less usable, creating a small

village, and leasing lands around it for agriculturists, or cottage

industry.

There is so much potential.

It would be great to get your advice on develping the place.
