Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, We still do not have the Standards or Cow report form in Spanish and have requests for them. I have a preliminary Standards done by someone. It is all done just needs editing. But the final completed job seems to elude us. We do now have a web master and she is now updating the ISCOWP web page www.iscowp.com You can contact her on the web page. - Noma T. Guest guest
Krsna Jivani -- Haribol to you too! Okay, let's give this a try. You translate to Portuguese, and your friend can translate to Spanish. When we're all done, I can have my sister, who is a busy Spanish teacher in Florida check the Spanish (and maybe Portuguese) and see if it matches the English closely. I think you will really like doing the translation. The language is mostly pretty simple and down to earth with a very nice farmer tone to it. You will find the text on ISCOWP's website http://www.iscowp.com/ under the "Resources" section. Right now, the links are a little bit awkward. You can't start at the beginning and go right through -- you have to go back to the table of contents after each link -- but I think you'll will figure it out. Just translate about 5 pages into Portuguese and e-mail them to me as an MS Word attachment (or WordPerfect). That way I'll make sure that you are doing the formatting correctly before you go to far along. In fact, don't do too much formatting. My Spanish is not very good, but I think it is sufficient that I will get a general idea if you are doing the right thing in Portuguese. Then you can complete the project and e-mail a copy to me and one to your friend for the Spanish. I'd like to get your 5-page sample by next Saturday, if possible. In the end, I'll try to create 3 Adobe-formated versions of Paramananda's Ox Power - Ki Jaya! -- English Portuguese Spanish It would be nice to do a French version also -- since there are so many French speaking people in Africa. I think there is a good possibility that Tillers International could distribute a French version in Africa. Any volunteers for a French version? Chaya and Balabhadra -- if we put these Adobe translations together -- do you think they could be made available on the ISCOWP website? Krsna Jivani prabhu -- thanks very much for offering to do this. Hopefully it will be useful to Portuguese speaking farmers, also -- and provide a helpful preaching opportunity for you as well. I want to complete as much as I can in time for Lord Nityananda's Appearance Day -- Feb 25. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi "Krsna Jivani (dd) PTS (Mafra - BR)" wrote: > Haribol!! > > I'm a new reader of this conference, and I would like to help somehow... > I can translate this article to Portuguese (we have some cows here really > needing some help) and then I have a friend who could translate into > spanish, if I gave her the article in portuguese (she speaks spanish but > doesn't english) > How do I get the article? > > Ys > > KJdd -- Noma Petroff Academic Department Coordinator BOWDOIN COLLEGE Department of Theater & Dance 9100 College Station Brunswick ME 04011-8491 Phone: (207) 725-3663 FAX: (207) 725-3372 e-mail: npetroff (AT) bowdoin (DOT) edu
