Guest guest
Dear Chayadevi; Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. There is now a farm in Kazakhstan, they have been there for four months, Bhakti Brnga Govinda Swami has started the farm and he is the GBC for that area. I am in contact with him. They have no cows yet but he is looking at two heritage breeds of that area, Kazakh and Ati-Aulie. The first breed is related to Mongolian Cattle, is used for draft and meat, it is a poor milker but highly adapted to the area. The second breed is the result of crossing in the early 1900's the Kazakh to the Black Pied Dutch cattle and the Eastern Freisland (Holstein). It is highly resistant to diseases prevalent in that area and produces around 8000lb on regular length lactation. That is a big improvement on the Kazakh, which only milks for 6 months and produces about a gallon per day. Waiting a reply from him about the Standards and GBC report. Will keep you informed, presently he can be contacted at com.bbt.se. Ys, Rohita dasa
