This is the point to me, to be quite frank if the flowery words of the Vedas yield no flowers, nor fruit, grains, veg or milk then what is their point? It is a chichen and egg question of what comes first the head (brahmanas) or the body (arms, belly and legs), the cart or the ox, the milk or the crops. What is important (for me - Mr Opinioned) is that something comes, whether first or second. I would much prefer to try and fail then never to try at all - in love, in cow protection, in devotion, in all. What is better to not try and protect a thousand cows or to try and protect a thousand cows and fail. It is the latter. What is the best - to try and protect a thousand cows and succeed. And this means to learn from our past and present mistakes and then to assess the viability of future actions; believe you me, I would think very hard before entering into a non-viable business, that is why we need the research to analyse viability. But a thousand cow protection journey begins with the first step, and if we are not prepared to take that step for the fear of not making the journey then we are cowards and our words are no more than arm chair philosophy whose echoes are best left in the room. Now I know that is hard, and believe me I know most of you out there have done much, much more than me in this endeavour; but just because you tried and failed in your past attempt does not mean that inaction is the best response to your failure - as Robert The Bruce - try, try and try again. I would love to put my actions where my mouth is, and I hope to do so in the future, but I do believe there is a possibility out there to make a market out of cow protection, and as a self-imposed smokesman for the "Vaisyas Working Party" I plead to the Brahmanical heads to stop debating the values to me of how much profit I sould make, how many rounds I should chant, how much alcohol or marijhuana I should take, ´cause I'm just not interested, especially whilst this intellectual finess yeilds no results on the ground. Help me to yield results and then I may take your fine words more seriously. It is not that I reject them, it is that they are limiting factors because they yeild no action, they lead to dispondancy. The Vedic world is not around us, we have to become the sadhus, the kings, the merchants and farmers, and the labourers. But they will not have the same form as before. If I become a multi-millionaire and lease land and resources out then I become an administrator, a CEO, a politician - the arms of society - it is how I use them that defines me as a Vedic (God conscious) ksyatria, or just a karmi administrator. Whilst we live in the mindset of another age without having the ability to take the essence of that and apply it to today's world's senarios (time, place, circumstance) then we will not achieve very much. It is quite obvious to me that any "non-devote" lacto-vegy will be interested in a farming system with lifetime protected farm animals, we do no service to them materially or spiritually by yeilding no results for the fear of poor results.
