Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! We received a letter from the Hungarian farm. They wanted our snail mail address so they could send the papers signed as we requested. Sivarama Swami, when we sent him the forms, asked us to send them to the farm managers in Hungary. Have not received them yet. Otherwise there has been no word from anyone, no GBC, no ISKCON farm managers. What do you all suggest? ISKCON has provided no budget for the ISKCON Ministry for Cow Protection and Agriculture. No budget, combined with increased personal economic needs has put us in the position of acquiring full time outside jobs. Our idea is to propose a budget at the next Mayapur meetings, the result of the proposal will determine our actions from that point on. Obviously, cow protection and agriculture are not a priority within ISKCON, to say the least. With some support much can be done, with none very little. On the home front, we are developing our Vrajapura Farm, new construction (root cellar included), ox work, productive garden, milk cow, canning and drying for winter, practically no grocery shopping this summer. ISCOWP newsletter to come out soon giving update. Unless we are given financial support by the GBC, we need to 'get a job'. And where does the GBC get it's money -- from people who have jobs, or who are going to need to get one within a few years time. I know this is an unromantic vision of our situation, but until we can face today's reality like adults who are not prone to fits of lamentation, how can we be expected to create a better reality for the future? ys, Sthita

Sounds like a pretty optimistic prediction to me. Ys, nistula dasa
Guest guest
Dear Chaya devi, my heartfelt appreciation for you hard workers at ISCOWP, not only for your hard work, but determination against all odds- no budget etc., and your realizations of the importance of mother cow. Even though you have full-time jobs, you still find time for agriculture, no doubt with bullocks! to keep free from dependence on artificial living, so I can understand that your commitment is quite exemplery. Please accept my humble obeisances, with gratitude, YS, Niscala >"COM: ISCOWP (Balabhadra Dasa & Chaya Dasi - USA)" <ISCOWP (AT) bbt (DOT) se> >ISCOWP (AT) bbt (DOT) se, Cow (AT) bbt (DOT) se, Varnasrama.development (AT) bbt (DOT) se >"COM: Cow (Protection and related issues)" <Cow (AT) bbt (DOT) se>, "COM: >Varnasrama development" <Varnasrama.development (AT) bbt (DOT) se> >Re: GBC Farm Inspections? >Tue, 17 Aug 99 10:02 -0400 > >[Text 2561717 from COM] > >Dear Prabhus, > >Please accept my humble obeisances.
