Markji, I agree that persons may want to try to develop sound business structures based in vedic concepts, and I also agree that that might not be the most ideal. If succesfull it could be good PR, and it is certainly better than a strictly materialistic endeavour, althoug it could become pretty materialistic depending on the persons consciousness. One thing just struck me. You mentioned Prabhupadas business activities with his pharmacy. What struck me was that the incredible success in terms of income, farms properties etc, that now form the bedrock (in physical terms) of the movement, all came from Prabhupadas sitting under a tree in Tompkins square park, and chanting Hare Krsna. Agreed there is not a lot of room under that tree (or not many takers for the method), but we have to realise that that is where the *real* success comes from. This is actualy 'getting real'. I mean in terms of eternal spiritualy tangible reality, instead of all this temporary stuff we are talking about. Varnasrama is aimed at reaching that state, as opposed to going in the direction of commerciality. But meanwhile we have to go through the mill, till we understand this eternal principle.
