Once again, this underlines Srila Prabhupada's quote in the March 1974

Varnasrama walks. What will the brahmanas do in a varnasrama society? He

replied, "They will all be teachers."

Where are those brahmanas who are being trained in practical chemistry

like this? If they can learn such a thing and teach it to sudra

craftsmen, how inspired they will become to see that Krsna has provided

such things right where they live!

You can't imagine how we felt after Mrs. Garland gave us just a one-day

plant presentation. We were thinking, "Every single one of these plants

has some amazing use. Some of them have many uses. This is no accident.

This is Krsna's specific arrangement. Krsna is right here in these

plants! This is some kind of miracle."

Where are the brahmanas studying practical chemistry?your servant,

Hare Krsna dasi

Dear Hare Krsna,

I have heard that every plant has MEDICINAL value, what to speak of even

other uses- I have heard that from an Ayurvedic doctor, but its just that so

much of Ayurvedic knowledge is lost in Kali- Yuga.

Since there is a shortage of such available brahmanas, and since as you have

pointed out, the subject is so vast, would it be more practical to

prioritize their study to that which is essential to self-sufficiency? For

example, cures to common ailments, plant dyes, soap-making- if the study of

chemistry is directed in that way it would be very useful. Any chemists know

of a formula for ash-based soap? YS, Niscala.
