If you want a fully costed buiseness plan there are enough persons on this

conference with particular experience to give all the informatio you need.

 

i think that because a big donor has not come forward and may not come

forward then you should draw up a buiseness plan yourself with the

information available to you.

 

As I have personally mentioned to you there is much information already know

in the general world specifically about working with horses. The time scales

of various operations are not much different with horses or oxen.

 

Decide what your oxen are going to grow and then you can find out how long

it takes to produce the product and then how much it costs. Start somewhere.

 

The Manors milk records are availbale to you. I have detailed milk records

for 7 years. I have kept records of how long, how many man hours, it has

taken to grow hay for the past 4 years.

 

I have a report from the University of east Anglia recording the man hours

taken to grow an acre of potatoes

 

Times for ploughing are generally understood. all the other cultivation

elements can easily be worked out.

 

Land rent can be worked out. Many farms in England are tenanted.

 

It will be better for you to work out the buiseness plan element by element.

 

The important building block for any cow protected herd is generally

understood by devotees on this conference to revolve around the working of

the oxen.

 

Once you properly understand how to make living using oxen then that is the

biggest hurdle. The hurdle the ISKCON world hasn't modeleled yet. The ISKCON

world and indeed the modern world needs a pioneer who can show how to make a

decent modern living from working oxen. Without a decent living there is

probably nobody on this conference who could realistically take it up.

 

As you are aware without ox farming being livelihood based ( and a good

livelihood) non of us western raised intelectuals will take it up. Ox based

living cannot be for somebody else who has not appeared yet it must be for

us and it must pay our bills or how can we possible do it. Oxen are not

meant to be pets or Zoo animals but are meant to be the econom,ic neccessity

of society.

 

We must establish ox dependant farming systems. We must get even one western

devotee living nicely on the farm.
