* New web address for Vaishnava Index *

Dear Maharajas and esteemed Vaishnavas & Vaishnavis -

 

Several months ago, in an attempt to make some sense of all the wonderful

devotee sites up on the Net, I built a simple 'Vaishnava Index'. At first, I

put this short page together just so I would have these links in one handly

place and not scattered all over, and I used the file as a document I could

read from any system with Netscape or IE-5. Not long afterwards I posted the

Index on the Net with the realization that if it is useful to me then it may

be useful to you. There are links to WWW.COM, Chakra, the primary ISKCON

sites, Srila Prabhupada, Veda Base, Torchlight Publishing, Krishna Culture,

as well as ABC News, Infoseek, and Hotmail. All in a simple elegant 7k file

which loads quickly.

 

In the last 36 hours the Vaishnava Index has been transferred to aloha.com.

This server appears to be faster than theglobe.com and, candidly, a number

of my friends and associates have reached 'capacity' with the pop-up

advertising and the permanent banner embedded at the top of the screen from

The Globe, which no amount of web edits could ever overide. (I tried.)

 

The new Index has been updated with new or corrected information as well as

improved graphics.

A mirror site is still maintained at theglobe.com as some traffic will no

doubt continue to reach there. The Vaishnava Index, through, now has links

directing the viewer to the new server. Hope you like the changes. Overall,

you should have a better experience at aloha.com.
