I really appreciate all your points above, and at the same time I think it can be good for devotees to share their views. By discussing these topics, we might get to hear from devotees who have a more mature way of seeing things, and in this way our understanding is broadened. After all Krsna is the ultimate controller, not a blade of grass moves without his sanction, so ultimately there is no danger of something slipping past his vigilance. Unfortunately I am traveling around, and dont really have a chance to get into it very much, but I dont think there is really harm, unless of course offenses are made, but even these provide an opportunity for some nice corrective advice.
