When Mother does Her Test

Namaste,

 

Last evening I promised to assist with testing of the new server at

the Mandir. Since my pc is not operating at full capacity, I was

using a friend's pc for the testing. I made an early journey so as

to ensure that all was well and the necessary programs were in

place. Everything checked out and at 8:15p.m ((5.15 CA, we are 3

hours ahead) i was anxiously awaiting the time to log on. At 8:25

the emergency lights cut in, ... there was a power cut in the area;

8:40 came I called the power company - "it will be back in 10 mins"

8:50 still no electricity.

 

I hastily drove back home with the thought that at least I can send

a message to let Nanda know what has happened. Would you believe

that just would not open on the pc no matter how I tried. It

was now 9:20p.m. .. what will I do now, I thought, I called the area

where I was to have tested from, "the power came back about 5

minutes ago" - the exact time I would have logged. Well, I drove

right back there and was finally able to connect at about 9:40. I

was thankful to have kept the promise and wondered whether it was a

test of patience or whether Mother wanted me to prove how much this

child really wanted Her.

 

As I sat this morning admiring Mother this morning before worship,

this was going over in mind and i thought why did it happen that

way, i feel sure that the murti smiled with me.

 

Whatever the reason ...
