Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! > I had said: > > "Your challenge assumes a philosophy that I have never heard of. That we > can only accept the activities of the spiritual master as fulfilling > Krishna's plan when he accompanies his acts with the assertion that he is > fulfilling Krishna's plan." > > To which you ask: > > From where did you get that absurd philosophy? > > YOU! First you said that you have never heard of that philosophy and then you said that you got it from me. So you contradicted yourself. You cannot have never heard of it and at the same time heard it from me. In your recent texts you were committing the logical fallacy called "affirming the consequent": If Krishna's plan was A, then Srila Prabhupada did B. Srila Prabhupada did B. Therefore, Krishna's plan was A. To remove that logical fallacy you must prove that for any other plan of Krishna (e.g. multiple diksa gurus for ISKCON with Srila Prabhupada as one of them) Srila Prabhupada would have acted differently. If you don't believe me, ask Krishnakant. And don't forget that in this debate you are representing IRM. So you should only present arguments and statements that are supported by IRM. You only make fools of IRM by presenting arguments with obvious logical fallacies, or by inventing absurd philosophies, or by ignoring Srila Prabhupada's statements that do not fit in your philosophy. So next time when you are going to present something, please show it first to Krishnakant. I would like to terminate this discussion about your point a) because you are obviously unable to produce a proof free from logical fallacies that in 1966 Srila Prabhupada wanted to be the sole diksa guru for ISKCON. So your point a) is: Srila Prabhupada made himself recognized and accepted as the sole diksa guru for ISKCON in 1966. (Just that, nothing more). If you agree with that, we can move to your point b) ("Srila Prabhupada never ordered that he should ever stop being the diksa guru for ISKCON"). Otherwise, just drop out of this debate, leaving your points b) and c) unproven. ys Ramakanta dasa
