I had been paying for him in bits and pieces for so long that I almost forgot what I was sending money for every month to Delhi. Then he arrived! wow! he is so amazing...a SimhaGanapati, riding on a lion..he looks like he has always lived at the top of the front steps...plus, since his arrival, two snakes have appeared! (non- poisonous, thankfully...no cobras!). When I got the current issue of "Hinduism Today", I saw that they had a really nice Ganesh Liturgy and Home Puja..as a special article....teaching families the way to do the Ganesh puja. My Ganesh let me know, very forcefully, that he is expecting a puja next Wednesday..."ok", I thought, "I'll do the one from "Hinduism Today" for him. You can access the magazine on-line! It's interesting that we are both being nudged to do Ganesh puja. best to you... Dear sadhvi ~ wow! Where did you order this giant Ganesha from? Was it an online store, or did you order it during a visit in India? It sounds wonderfu .... and riding a lion. I don't think I've seen any pictures of Ganesha riding a lion. That is what the name SimhaGanapati meant? And then two snakes came to keep him company ... it is especially nice that they are not poisonous ... but great living symbolism. Thank you for telling me about the Ganesh Liturgy article in "Hinduism Today." I will visit the site and read the article. Yes, Ganesha appears to be nudging us both. I am still in the trailer, and it will be a few more weeks before we begin to move into our new home. Ganapati is definitely nudging me. : ) Thank you, Hugs Jai Ganesha ~ Linda
