PANCHA BADHRI

We have heard and some of us have visited and worshipped at pancha dvAraka-s.

This time when adiyEan visited Sri Badrinath Shrine, i came to know that there are five badri-s-The Pancha Badri-s.

Adhi-Badri: This is the first place when Sri Badri EmperumAn gave His vision to Sri pANDAvAs when they were stuck in rain and thunderstorm and were worried whether they would be able to reach the Badrinath shrine.

This is about 16-17 kms from karNa prayag.

These group of temples are under the archealogical survey of India. These are historically traced to GuptA dynasty.

bUDA Badri: is near pipal kOte where Badri Emperum

An is said to have blessed sri Naradha muni.

Sri Adi Sankara is also said to have worshipped Badri EmperumAn at vrdha Badri near pipul kOte

yOga Badri: This is the place 20 kms from jOshi mutt and 24 kms down from Badrinath. This is where pANDu maharjA is said to have worhshipped Empeurman and obtained His blessings.

Badri Vishal: It is said that VishAl Maharajar had worshipped Lord Badri nath here and therefore this place is known as 'Badri vishal'.

However, as per our tradition this is the place where the Lord gave us the sacred 'Thirumandhram' as both human and God form=s nara-nArAyaNan.

Bavishya Badri: This small place is about 40 kms from joshimutt and has to be reached by trekking/pony for 10kms.

It is said that the EmperumAn 's thirumEani here i svayambu and is slowly showing out inch byinch and is half visible now. By 2020 it is said that this is the future badri.

Concluding note:If anybody can throw light on the above aspects with authenticicy , they are welcome.
