thirucciRRambalam

Meaning:

One, Who sprung up before everybody else,

Who bent the budding white moon on the aging twined hair,

Who pierced the three puras of hard asuras making

the mount as bow and vacuki as great string with

fiery arrow making them to succumb as ash,

Who rejoiced dancing with uma of chaste pearl white smile,

the Lord shiva of southern kUDal thiruvAlavAy,

His feet, I got to think.

Notes:

1. mukiz - budding; varai - mount (meru).
