Dear All,

Here is your weekly update on our Earth Mother Sankalpa.

Congratulations to Muktimaaji for completing the japa portion of our sankalpa. Will you doing the japa portion as well Muktimaa? Please write and let us know. Please also share a few words on this sankalpa and your experiences.

Beloved Kandaji is truly demonstrating his love for this sankalpa. He is in his second round and has completed 750 malas already. Thank you for your inspiration Kanda.

Dan is also very close to completion . He is trailed by Kalachandra, Morningsong and consistent Henny.

This sankalpa has etched a groove in me for doing mantra japa during my commute. Even though I have completed my sankalpa, I find myself chanting a mala for all planets each day. Thank you and Pranams to Shree Maa for inculcating Sadhana into my life.

hello, when you say malas, my understanding is 108 beads x 60 times? Please clarify. I would like to do the japas too. Thanks sanjunryn

Hi Sanju,

One mala 108 times repetition of the mantra. However for each mantra

(for the planets) the total number of malas are different. For Surya it

is 60 malas, for Chandra it is 150 and so on. The details of the number

of malas etc are available in the File Section of this group. Please do

Even though we do 108 repetitions per mala, one mala counts as 100. The extra 8 are insurance!

Is this correct Nanda?
