Guest guest
I am sure the entire list would agree with you Noel, that young children should be exposed to the ayurvedic philosophy. But it will be some time before this step will be taken, if at all. This is because the REAL cause of disease, if leaked out, would expose the hoax that is modern medicine. Children brought up with the knowledge of constitutional medicine would learn to question the flogging to death of the virus theory and would realise the importance of a strong constitution that promotes immunity. Right now the Govt of India seems to be focussing on preventive medicine. A very ambitious plan has been launched to make social and preventive medicine popular. However the stress continues to be on reductionism. Our current Health Minister understands the importance of ayurvedic philosophy as the best proponent of preventive medicine but he seems to be making little headway in this regard pulled down by the Indian Medical Association as well as the drug lobby. However, thanks to the efforts of Aastha TV, Sanskar TV etc., and the various programmes of Swami Ramdev people have started to embrace ayurveda in a large scale in India. However the presence of dubious medicines and roadside doctors is a stumbling block. Swami Ramdev, in a programme today, highlighted this as he urged the people to go to genuine vaidyas and take the medicines of recognised and reputed pharmaceuticals. The students of Swami Ramdev and other yoga teachers have started fanning out to the grassroot level and have also started conducting camps in schools and colleges. Therefore the new generation is being educated on the benefits of exercise, diet, herbal medicines, healthy living and spirituality. This should have been done long ago. But it is better late then never.
