Guest guest
Dera Soutrik, In view of the fact that you are of Vata-pitta prkruti and disorder of the same i opine that sesame oil will not recommended to you, because tila taila is ushana veerya thogh it it is vata hara. Tila taila is best for vata-kapha disorders disorders, owing to its vatakapha hara properties. It increases pitta and decreases vata and kapha. You may also read my yesterday's post on ghee. In your case, i suggest you to use ghee in the form of Acha snehapana for 3/5/7 days based on your Jatharagni etc., means intake of ghee alone as it is without additives. Method of Snehapana: First make sure that you have good hunger and digestive power. If not powders of Jeera and Dhaniya mixed 5 grams each before food twice daily for 3 days, then start ghee. 1st day Drink 50 ml of ghee at a strech on early morning empty stomach followed by some sips of warm water. Do not take any thing except warm water till ghee gets digested. Usually it will digest in 3 hours. You will have some symptoms those indicate digestion of ghee like purity of eructations, down ward movement of vata, good hunger, lightness in the body, feeling of thirst. Once you observe these symptoms take light food like kichri. In dinner also take the same food. 2nd day take 100 ml and 3 rd day 150 ml. next day onwards start your regular diet. On 2nd and 3rd day ghee will digest in 6 hrs and 9 hrs respectively. This is the classical and practical method of snehapana most of the Panchakarma practioners follow. Once in a month for 3 days you do snehapana for minimum of 3 months. Mean while using vata-pitta hara drugs such as Yastimadhu, Shatavari, Vidari, Bala alone single drug or together at the dose of 3 to 5 grams twice daily with milk.
