Guest guest
Dear All, Our Sriniji has suggested a wonderful group sankalpa in preparation for Father's day. The sankalpa is a combination of chanting and learning/discussion at the same time. ie we will chant some portions from the Advanced Shiva Puja/ Rudri over the course of 10 days starting June 9th and ending on Father's day (June 18th) and also discuss the texts/chapters that we chanted each day. Sriniji will help lead/direct our discussion. Thank you Sriniji for this wonderful sankalpa. Here are the suggested portions for recitation each day along with discussion. June 9, Friday: Sadhana Panchakam, Siva Sankalpa Stotram (to be found in Adv Shiva Puja Book) June 10, Saturday: Siva Kavacham, 108 Names of Siva (Beginner or Adv Shiva Puja book) June 11: Sunday, Sivastakam, Sivoham-Sivoham (Adv Shiva Puja book) June 12: Monday, Purusa Sukta, Rudrastakam (Adv Shiva Puja book) June 13: Tuesday, Lingastakam, Siva Panchakshara Stotram ( Adv Shiva Puja book) June 14: Wednesday, Kaupina Panchakam (Adv Shiva Puja book) , Siva Chalisa (Adv Shiva Puja book/ Beginner Puja Book) June 15: Thursday, Rudri Chapters 1-4 (Rudrashtadhyayi) June 16, Friday: Rudri Chapters 5-7 (Rudrashtadhyayi) June 17, Saturday: Rudri Chapters 8-9 (Rudrashtadhyayi) June 18, Sunday: Siva Sahasranama (Adv Shiva Puja book) Jai Shiva Nanda
Guest guest
Dear Nandaji, Namaste! Thank you! I was telling Shree Maa yesterday morning that I really want to study the scriptures and that I have no time for it. She said, you should find time for it. And added, Look at Swamiji, he is up in the night reading the scriptures. She said if your love for God is intense you would not sleep. This is a wonderful opportunity for me and I am very excited about it. Jai Shiva! Let's build up to a wonderful Father's day! Each day I will post my thoughts (if any) on the scripture. You are welcome to research these stotrams and add to the discussion. I will also ask Swamiji questions and share His answers. If you have questions please ask and I will pass them on to Swamiji. Please share your bhava and learnings as we do this. I remain yours humbly. with love and prayers, srini , Nanda <chandimaakijai wrote: > > Dear All, > > Our Sriniji has suggested a wonderful group sankalpa in preparation for Father's day. > > The sankalpa is a combination of chanting and learning/discussion at the same time. ie we will chant some portions from the Advanced Shiva Puja/ Rudri over the course of 10 days starting June 9th and ending on Father's day (June 18th) and also discuss the texts/ chapters that we chanted each day.
