Guest guest
Dear Friends, Namaste! We will continue discuss Sadhana Panchakam. Thank you for your sharing, Nanda, n_mallan, Bruno and Alan. Meanwhile, I want to briefly mention Siva Sankalpa Stotram in 26 verses. Google it and you wont find much. The first six of these verses are in Chapter 1 of the Rudri, but not in the same order. I asked Swamiji the source and He said that it is from an Appendix to the Rig Veda. In each verse, the second sentence is the refrain, tanme manah sivasamkalpamastu: May my mind be filled with the firm determination of Siva, the Consciousness of Infinite Goodness. I see this a prayer to make us determined in our efforts for Dharma. We pray for sankalpa shakti: good line to use before we start our sadhana or work projects. The first sentence of each verse have a Vedic flavor. Glorious poetry about Yajna, sacrifice, the Vedas and Lord Shiva. Verses 13 -23 especially are about Lord Shiva. Some may interpret these as praise of the Supreme Being. May Lord Siva be pleased with our devotion. Today we will read the Siva Kavacham and 108 names of Lord Siva.
