A retired senior executive at a Private company he chose to dedicate his life to the cause of Srivaishnava service; he basically walked the talk by contributing heavily for the VEDICS tsunami project despite his poor health. In fact, he was instrumental in constructing a Srivaishnava temple in the midst of the fishermen locality in Foreshore estate, Madras and conducting many Srivaishnava events for the good of even the fishermen; he enjoyed tremendous local support, much in the spirit of our poorvAchAryAs. Adiyen is fortunate to have TNS Narayanan swamin as my athimber. He inspired me to learn the Divyaprabandam, and used to cite the verse "En amudhinai kaNda kangaL.." from Amalanadhippiran all the time, the very reason for the beginning of my attachment to our glorious sampradayam. He swore by the inner meaning of Saranagathi and was not fearful of anything (including his own failing health), for he believed strongly in nammAzhwAr,s words. On the one hand I am happily convinced that Lord Sriman nArAyaNa will have the best plans for his committed devotee while on the other hand, I am terribly feeling the loss of a good relative (was practically my second father) and a great Srivaishnava. adiyEn, kidAmbi Soundararajan. AzhwAr emperumAnAr jeeyar thiruvadigaLE Saranam. ps: I have attached some of pictures of the Srinivasa temple constructed in the slums of Foreshore estate, TNS Narayanan swamin can be seen in one of the pictures holding a fishing net.
