Guest guest
Sri Parthasarathi thunai Srimathe ramanujaya Namaha Srimad Vara Vara munayE Namaha Sri vAnAchala mahA munayE Namaha Paasuram-75 "nA koNdu mANidam pAdEn nalamAga teekoNda sensadaiyAn sendru endRum-pookoNdu vallavA REththa magizhAdha vaikundha selvanAr sEvadimEl pAttu" When I am not even interested in singing the praise of the devatas, who do have power and knowledge what to say about the lowly humans? (nA koNdu mAnidam pAdEn) "sA jihvA yA harim stitowthi"-vishnu dharmam [That which praises the lord is called as the tongue] Using this tongue I will never sing about these lowly human beings. Then who will you sing about? I will sing the praise of that divine lord, praised even by the so called rudra who you consider to be supreme. (teekoNda sensadaiyOn) one who has a hair that is fire-coloured or otherwise as per poigaiazhvar's words, "anarkku angkaiyERRAn" one who has fire in his hands and with reddish hair. (seNdru endrum) himself goes daily; (pookoNdu vallavAru endrum Eththa) along with flowers and does pooja daily with his fullest capacity (along with maximum concentration of mind and body) (endrum nalamAga eththa) praising the divinity of the lord at all times; (vallavAru Eththa) though praising the divine lord can never be completed each one does, to his fullest capacity; "yAnum Eththi Ezhulagum muRRumEththi pinnaiyum thAnumEththilum thannai EththavEththa engeidhum?" [thiru 4-3-10] [i praised him, the entire seven worlds fully praised him, then he himself tried talking his greatness but where is the end to it?] (vaikundha selvanar) but what difference will all these praises bring in him since he is lord of the great Srivaikundha. He remains the same; (magizhAdha vaikundha selvanar) Rudra who praises the lord now when filled with rajo/tamo gunas wages a war against him. So the lord remains quiescent. Why should he react to these unstable prayers when he is always filled with the extreme joy listening to the praises of the nithya sooris ever filled with deep devotion? (selvanar sEvadi mEl pAttu) My song will be directed only towards that 'thiruvukkum thiru' wealth of Sridevi herself and not towards any other lowly human. Thus declares thirumazhisai piran in this paasuram (To Be Continued) Azhvar emperumAnAr Jeeyer thiruvadigalE sharaNam Adiyen ramanuja dAsee Sumithra Varadarajan
