Guest guest
One other thing. In my earlier post Meditation was spoken of. Much, if not most of the meditations in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan are verbal. We chant. We resonate through our mouths which has an impact deep in our psyche (the body). We can transform any tension/discomfort/blockage sometimes called pain, by simply giving it a voice, whether it be feeble one or raucous one. Couple that sound with Mantra** and you got a powerful technology. A negative can be made into a positive, or a poison made into something harmless. We know that our words can elevate us or bring us down, and so need to speak from as deep a "here and now" truth as we can so as to provide nourishment for ourselves and those around us. Sometime it's humor that's the shortest route***. Studies have attributed improved health and well-being to laughter as it triggers the release of endorphins. It's been demonstrated that neuroendocrine and stress-related hormones decreased during episodes of laughter, which provides support for the claim that humor can relieve stress. Additionally, when we chant we vibrate and stimulate the meridians* and the Master Glands which will have profound effects on our state of physical, emotional balance and mental balance. With something close to 200 different glandular secretions, and with so many levels of emotion and feeling, it's no wonder we sometimes feel a little out of control. The point here, is that one doesn't need to be capable of standing on their head. I didn't ask but how is your Blood Sugar?
