I recently opened up a : "Offerings at Her Feet" devoted to the

bhakti poets

and poetry to the Divine Mother (our Kali Amma). I hope any here who are lovers of

the bhakti

poets and the Divine Mother will join. Please post your poems to Kali!

OFFERINGS AT HER FEET: Words from the heart on the path of love, devotion,

longing and

surrender. Exploring bhakti poets throughout history, including the works of

Rumi, Hafiz,

Kabir, Ramprasad, Mirabai, Hildegard Van Bingen and others, including song

lyrics. Share

your own work and read the inspired works of others. Exploring the difficulty of

translating the spiritual experience into words and the magnetic pull towards

expressing

that sweet longing in words. Sufi poetry, the ecstatic poets, automatic writing

and more.

 

The primary focus of this group is on poetry to the Divine Mother in her many

forms and

the path of bhakti as expressed through devotional poetry to God, irrespective

of gender,

though most of the focus will be on the Divine Mother aspect. This forum is for

those who

long for God, and in that longing, find God to be the muse itself.
