Guest guest
My 2 dimes' worth: ----------------- As rudraksha contain electromagnetic properties and there is also no reference in the Holy Books that suggest they must be worn with spacers, it really is up to the individual's intuition, decision or comfort level. It would be wise to trial the various methods (with or without spacers) before deciding on what works best. Btw, when worn in pairs without spacers, its like circuitry accelerated without something interfering between the beads. Of course, there are conductors such as silver, etc. but its up to the person to test and trial. About potential friction that may occur when beads are rubbed together when wearing, have no doubts that if they are regularly maintained and oiled, their hardiness is preserved. This is how collector families with rudraksha heirlooms preserve their sacred beads and hand them down the generations or from guru to chela in traditional lineages. When rudraksha are not maintained or conditioned often with oil, especially when wearing without spacers, then of course cracks or chips would happen. Even if one were to place a rudraksha in one spot for several months without oiling it, the bead is subject to temperature conditions and may deteriorate, i.e. dry up and become brittle after a period of time. Good quality rudraksha will preserve for a much longer time of course.
