Guest guest
ONS Does anyone have experience attending more than one retreat on a tour? The retreat offers 3 times to share Darshan with Amma, and two retreats offer 6. I know if I see her during public programs, I try not to go up for Darshan every time. Also, there are times when just being in her presence is enough. But I was wondering what others have experienced while having an opportunity to go for many in a close span of time. I alwyas feel it out inside, sometimes I feel as though I should let others go to darshan and may be at the end of the night I will get a quick hug. Sometimes I feel it is appropriate just to do Seva and not always go for a hug. If you go to multiple cities you start to get in the flow anyway, and a hug may not be at called for. ...but follow your heart...
Guest guest
Namah Shivayah, I have only been to two retreats, and I have been pondering the question myself lately. I have always experienced it to be completely in Her hands, as with all things. Listen to that tiny voice inside, if it is a palpable and powerful feeling, and you inspect it and see that it has nothing to do with your ego/your "self"....it is usually Amma! I have tried and tested this method often and can say with much conviction that it is true. For example, I have had many occassions where Amma orchestrated my getting a darshan token when no more tokens were being given out. I have given away darshan tokens, forfeiting my darshan for someone else, only to have someone hand me a token out of the blue. I have had Amma call me to darshan consistently every night of the retreat, and even in trying to avoid getting darshan, I would inevitably wind up in her arms. It's all a big play for her, all we can do is surrender to it and listen to her. I imagine, sometimes she has great fun with this giant leela Follow your heart, follow Amma....she will let you know what is best for you. Sometimes you will want darshan every second you can have it, sometimes you will want to do seva all day, sometimes you will want to just sit as close to her as possible every second that you can. Sometimes you might want to just sit in the back of the hall and sob. Sometimes you might scowl internally and stomp away upstairs to your hotel room. Sometimes you might meditate for 3 hours and merge with her shakti. It is all part of this wonderful experience. There is no need to adhere to any format...the Divine Mother herself contains all paradoxes, feelings and states of being that exist in this world. If you surrender to her, she will guide you, and then how can she steer you wrong? It's such a beautiful thing, really. I find that when I am questioning something like should I go for darshan, should I sit by her, should I do this or that....all I have to do is get at least 6 feet in front of her and I can feel my energy shift, and I automatically know what I should do. Our Ma is so amazing, isn't she?!!! Jai Kali!
