hello everyone,

i am an astrology newbie from bombay, india. i had two specific

questions relating to my chart that i hope to get cleared. it's

possible the themes i discuss have been addressed before. if so,

kindly let me know where i might find the material.

first: the lagna is libra and lagnadhipati venus is exalted and

vargottam in pisces -- in the 6th house. lagna lord in 6th is not

usually considered auspicious, but pisces being the exaltation sign

and venus being 8th lord in 6th as well -- how would all that add

up? is it auspicious? venus's shadbala is 311, below the 330 that it

needs to be strong.

second: my moon is dark, waning at 12* from the sun in aquarius. it

is conjunct within a degree of mercury and so defeated in planetary

war as well. however, in the navamsa mercury and moon land up in

pisces where mercury is debilitated. so can the moon really be said

to be "defeated"? in terms of shadbala, the moon scores a healthy

548, way above the 360 point strength threshold, making it the

second strongest planet after the sun in terms of shadbala. mercury

scores 407, 420 being its threshold.

here are my birth details if anyone needs to check it out:

thanking you for you interest,

Dear Chi.Geoffrey Mathew,

Venus is a benefic, a benefic in the 6th house breeds contempt.

8th lord(for Thula lagna Venus is benefic) in 6th house logic shall not apply here, since Venus is not malefic to produce Vipritha Raja yoga.

7th lord in the 6th house may cause Kalathra dosha. You are born on Chaturdasi Tithi , Pisces is combust , both the Kalathrakaarak and Kalathra isthanadhipathy in the burnt house causes Kalathra dosha.

Graga yuddha occurs in between Thara graga(the treditional view that prevails in Tamil Nadu) .In your case the conjunction of Moon and Buddha graga enriches the power to Buddha( o/a Samaagam),such a conjunction should cause Raja yoga but unfortunately Buddha is afflicted in the Amsa, hence it is resulted in Raja yogabanga.

With regards,

D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta.
