You will embroil all within the boundaries of your huge land (influence). (However) it is difficult (for you), since I would reach the Prosperous of thiruvArUr, shiva, the Unique hill of pure gold That resided as the brahma in the nice lotus and viShNu, also as the One beyond (them) and as the Unknowable. I will not be driven by you! Notes: 1. appar portrays the problem of the souls. Typically they are "driven" by the parasites on them. They go behind the senses - starting from a plant, worm to humans. They have to stage hostage to them and get dance to their music, till they stand up and proclaim their allegiance to Lord shiva Who is Almighty and Bliss-giver. 2. This was sung by the saint, when the illusions of gold, nymphs etc were sent to lure him off. Our saint stood as rock, undisturbed having firm grip on the Feet of Lord shiva. 3. ulOpam - meanness; poRai - burden; uzaRuthal - embroil; kanakam - gold. ------------- Name of hara encompass !
