Guest guest
Is it not true that by each one striving for their own SELF growth each one is benifitting creation as a whole? Is it not true that all of creation is the One Self? Also that each Self is responsible for it's own development. If so where is the question of selfishness? When we enquire after the self we are benefitting all that is ..in the only way we can? I have only just put a toe into these deep waters so ... Bindu. Guest guest
Dear Bindu, It seems your are not having clear distinction between ego and Real Self. The Real Self is perfect in every way and does not require growth and any modification for the better or worse.. Some more introspecion and study will clear your doubts. Love $ regards BRIJ . Guest guest
- Thank you Brij, I understand what you are saying. I should have said self enquiry not self growth. I understand that the Self is perfect in itself. Waiting for the intellectual understanding to change to actual realization! -- In RamanaMaharshi, brij sachdeva <blsach wrote: > > Dear Bindu, > > It seems your are not having clear distinction between ego and Real Self. Guest guest
D.: If 'I' am always - here and now, why do I not feel so? M.: That is it. Who says it is not felt? Does the real 'I' say it or the false 'I'? Examine it. You will find it is the wrong 'I'. The wrong 'I' is the obstruction. It has to be removed in order that the true 'I' may not be hidden. The feeling that 'I-have-not-realised' is the obstruction to realisation. In fact it is already realised; there is nothing more to be realised. Otherwise, the realisation will be new; it has not existed so far, it must take place hereafter. What is born will also die. If realisation be not eternal it is not worth having. Therefore what we seek is not that which must happen afresh. It is only that which is eternal but not now known due to obstructions; it is that we seek. All that we need do is to remove the obstruction. That which is eternal is not known to be so because of ignorance. Ignorance is the obstruction. Get over this ignorance, and all will be well. >From Talk § 197 - Bindu RamanaMaharshi Tuesday, June 20, 2006 8:43 AM [RamanaMaharshi] Re: self enquiry and selfishness. - Thank you Brij, I understand what you are saying.
