to galibu about Shiva Chalisa

Dear galibu ~ thank you so much for pointing me in the direction of the Siva

Chalisa. I recited it last night as part of my sadhana. I was moved and

surprised to find how directly it seemed to speak to me. It also seemed to define

the "ideal father," as we had been discussing earlier. As I recited, I felt

I was learning about Shiva, and then I felt what I was reciting also applied

to Swamiji. I rememeber, several times, Swamiji saying, or others saying that

Swamiji had said, take these elements and make them your own, and I feel

that is beginning to happen. The MM Mantra has become part of my sadhana, which

at the moment still centers around the EMS Sankalpa, and now I feel the Shiva

Chalisa will become part of my sadhana ... I know it is what I need to hear

as well as the praise I want to offer. Jaya Shiva

Jaya Swamiji ~ Linda P.S. I also spent quite a bit of time this morning

trying very hard to find a recording of the Shiva Chalisa, and I did, but the

website it is on is playing hide and seek with me, so I must write to them

about it. I was able to listen to it, and it is quite beautiful.I would love to

be able to sing it.

 

I think Lord Siva would be extatic if you did anything at all....the

Siva Calisa is a fabulous little ditty that is sure to please any

self respecting Deva...
