Guest guest
Sree Maatre Namah, I have read the FAQs regarding Sri Devi Khadgamala Stotram. I understand that anybody willing can recite the stotram irrespective of being initiated by Guru or not. Still i require a clarification. I have downloaded the "Sri Devi Khadgamala Stotram" from below mentioned link. http://sanskrit.gde.to/all_pdf/khadgamala.pdf In the last page of the above mentioned document at the end of the stotram, it says "Malamantram ParamGUHYAAM...", it also mentions "TasmaadGOPYAM TaraadGOPYAM RAHASYAM..". It highlights that this stotram is a secret (GUHYAM, GOPYAM, RAHASYAM). Even after the stotram being declared as a secret can I still recite it without being initiated to Sri Vidya? I have been initiated only to Sri Gayatri Mantram during my Upanayanam. I am very much interested to recite Devi Khadgamala Stotram, but I am hesitant as I m not initiated to Sri Vidya. Like many working people today I have a very hectic schedule. But still i want to bring some spiritual disclpline through a commitment towards recitation of Devi Khadgamala Stotram. I love reading books and posts on Sri Devi and many Gods and Goddess. I always think of them and search internet for any new posts or articles on Devi Lalitha. This devine stotram has given me ray of hope to bring some spiritual discpline. Namaste, Santosh.

A challenge for all of us spiritual aspirants to overcome. To be commited to our work, so that we can earn a decent living and feed our family can be spiritual in nature too. Guest guest
Whatever manuscript originally contained the Khadgamala Stotram has been lost beyond the reach of human memory -- so any original restrictions on use have also been lost. What we have left is the modern evidence. Countless people have chanted the Khadgamala Stotram without initiation by a guru; it also serves as a mneumonic device that will help the user memorize the names, sequences and locations of the Devis for use in the full Navavarana Puja, which would be basically impossible to perform without having first assimilated those essentials. When it is time to perform the full Navavarana Puja, *that* is when you need a qualified Guru's formal diksha and guidance. Finally, there is the simple fact that a qualified Guru -- Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati -- has declared that the KS may be recited by all, and bring great benefits to all who undertake to learn and use it. And on this path, the word of the Guru surpasses all other authority. So my reply to your query would be: Relax. Learn it. Chant it. Enjoy it. aim mAtangyai namaH , "csantoshiyer" <csantoshiyer wrote: > > > Sree Maatre Namah, > > I have read the FAQs regarding Sri Devi Khadgamala Stotram. > I understand that anybody willing can recite the stotram irrespective > of being initiated by Guru or not. > > Still i require a clarification. Guest guest
It is pronunciation dear and not pronounciation. joannapollner <joannapollner > wrote: Sri Karunamayi also recommends KS and teaches great pronounciation on the learning CD , .Joanna > > Whatever manuscript originally contained the Khadgamala Stotram has > been lost beyond the reach of human memory -- so any original > restrictions on use have also been lost. > > What we have left is the modern evidence.
