It really hit home with me, too, since I make excuses for "trying to manipulate Her creation"....Here's to letting go and letting God! Dear Gauri ~ as an ACOA (Adult Child of an Alcoholic), "trying to manipulate Her creation" is as familiar to me as breathing. And it isn't something you grow out of when you leave home. Controlling the smallest details of life, or of people (which doesn't really work out too well) feels like life saving necessity. Unlearning this is a daunting task. I remember once when I asked Swamiji a question about dealing with the hard things in my life (including my health), his suggestion was a prayer of thanks: "Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your wonderful creation." So, I guess what I took from that was acknowledging gratitude for creation (and of course, the Chandi and other sacred scriptures also remind us of this ... the creation is the Mother), accepting Her as She is, and feeling joyful about it. This afternoon, after a morning of running around doing things related to the move, I was crashing hard as I took my nap. I kept seeing images of Swamiji's face appearing and disappearing before my eyes. I think I said something like, "thank you for reminding me." And yet, letting go can be one of the hardest things we ever do. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji ~ Linda
