Guest guest
Dear Nanda ~ when I read your post yesterday, I became somewhat distraught. I don't have the Advanced Shiva Puja Beginner, so I missed out on that one ... and I had already packed "The Guru and the Goddess," along with all my other books. Harumph ... is how I felt; never the proper tool at the right time. Then I determined I would try to find it. Doug told me there was a box of books that had already been moved into the room that will be my studio. So this morning, when I went over to let in the cleaning crew, I tore into the box, and guess what? It was there. : ) I am really glad you added the disclaimer, "...and no number is too small." Keeping up with sankalpas, in terms of numbers, has been a virtual impossibility for me. Now with the move, it will be harder, but I'm so glad I found the book, and I will participate in offering recitation of the Guru Gita for Maa and Swamiji. I am so happy. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji ~ Linda Nanda wrote: The next big occassion for us, now that Father's Day has passed, is Guru Purnima. Inorder to set the tone for this beautiful day honoring all our Gurus, here are two suggestions that were given to and blessed by our Swamiji. The suggestions are simple - sadhana and seva. The sadhana involves a group sankalpa of doing 108 times Guru Gita as a group ('gurup' [] ) starting Monday Jun 19th and ending July 10th - which is Guru Purnima. 108 repetitions as a group, and of course please send me how many you have done - you can send me the consolidated total number of repetitions you have done upto that day. Every single repetition is valuable and no number is too small - so please start chanting the Guru Gita (It is in the book "The Guru and the Goddess" ) ...
