It took me about an hour. Verse 5: 1. Sit down in a quiet, conducive and comfortable environment, 2. Contemplate the Supreme Divinity. 3. Look into yourself with the fullness of consciousness 4. See the bondage of the gross world to the soul, and reduce your necessity for action in the world. 5. Don't allow your thoughts to be bound by karma 6. With the strength of wisdom free your mind from bondage. 7. Experience the fruits of your prarabda karma, the actions performed in the past, the fruits of which are being experienced in the present 8. And after the past karma is complete, with an attitude of one mind, go to the realms of Union with the Highest Divinity and remain there... Dear srini ~ since the next book I am going to get is the Advanced Shiva Puja book (and not be caught unprepared again), what you have written here struck a deep chord with me. Are the instructions that you list above, 1 - 8, given within the book, or did you create them to assist your sadhana? They seem very helpful, and the reason I'm acting is that, so far, I haven't seen specific instructions like this is any of the books I've purchased. Thank you for writing them here. Shiva Ki Jai ~ Linda P.S. Okay, now I have another question. The Sadhana Panchakam is part of the Advanced Shiva Puja book? Yes? This phrase has been in many posts lately, and I wasn't sure why. Perhaps I missed a digest or two. Did the group do something with the Sadhana Panchakam? Thank you again
Guest guest
Dear Linda, Namaste! Thank you for your post! Yes the Sadhana Panchakam is within the Advanced Siva Puja book. WE chanted it on the first day of our 10 day Siva Sankalpa. I just copied Swamiji's translation and posted on the group in 5 parts. Each Verse has 8 instructions. Jai Shiva!
