Guest guest
That is beautiful! Do you grow them yourself? I believe I read somewhere that it is difficult to grow genetic variations. These seem quite red, or do they turn all white when opened? Thousands of buds are about to burst in the ponds and lakes here but at the moment it is raining and so cloudy it is almost dark . Thank you, Alan, yes, we created a pond here about two months ago and stocked it with various hybrids, this one is called "Attraction", and there will be more soon, several colorful varieties. They are easy to grow, and actually help the pond in many ways. We put some lily fertilizer in the pots to begin with, and they need at least 4-6 hours of sun a day. Of course, we are in the middle of a heat wave, which is stimulating a lot of growth. Today was over 100, for example. Just yesterday, a new lily celebrated Summer Solstice by opening up right in the middle of an Amarylis. http://snipurl.com/s3ag Mazie has been busy landscaping a Paradise within Paradise (our town name), and I am cataloguing the various plantings in our photo album website: http://www.1heart.us/gallery/v/ particularly in the sub-album called "Close Up". Btw, we have another sub-album dedicated to various favorite artists (Artists), and within that, a special album featuring an appreciation of some of your incredible work (page 14 of "Visibility"). __/\__
Guest guest
Blessings are indeed yours, Bob and Mazie, your photos are awesome, Paradise? Damn, how appropriate could it be? (I live on Spring Garden Rd.;-) I must share an experience. Last year, my son (who is also a brilliant photographer;-) and I went to a placed called The Beaver Marsh, with a bridge across the whole lake. It was filled with yellow water lillies, he was taking pictures and I walked across the bridge to the other side. Lo and behold 4 vultures came to me. Two circled in opposite directions about 15 feet above me, and two more came from opposite directions and flew directly above me and the first two vultures, very high in the sky. I stood there in awe with my arms raised as if in open prayer, my son was looking at me and the vultures and later said "Mom, they know". It was quite amazing. And thank you for the reminder. Endless hugs to you and Mazie. Love, Ana p.s. Bob and Alan, I'd perhaps like to use one or two photos in the next book of mine. ;-) I'll browse thru all your albums leisurely soon.;-) , "Bob OHearn" <hrtbeat7 wrote: > > , > "Alan" <erilarend@> wrote: > > > >That is beautiful! > Do you grow them yourself? > > > Thank you, Alan, yes, we created a pond here about two months ago and > stocked it with various hybrids, this one is called "Attraction", and > there will be more soon, several colorful varieties.
