Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Namah: During the time of our Purvacharyas, SriVaishnava Sampradaya was at its glorious peak. This was evident in the widespread awareness, knowledge and practical application of the scriptures including Veda/Vedanta, Divya Prabandhas, etc. It was also evident in the unity of people in performing kainkaryam (service) towards the Divine Couple among all classes of society. Their focus was on performing service out of divine love and heartfelt affection towards the Lord and His Creation. Temple administration was also flawless and was being followed as dictated by Swamy Ramanuja and subsequent Acharyas. Unfortunately, over time there has been a swift and steady decline in the strength of our rich and magnificent sampradaya due to various causes. This is exemplified in the lack of understanding among later generations and the strong hold of external influences on the youth. There is an urgent need to rejuvenate this rich heritage and restore our most sacred, special, and authentic sampradaya back to its original, glorious status. The most efficient way to rejuvenate this ancient and divine heritage gifted to us by our Acharyas is to focus on today's youth. It is imperative that we provide them with the opportunity to not only learn the great history, culture, and divine knowledge of Srivaishnavam, but also how to live Srivaishnavam and actively practice it as a human being. Not only should we extol the virtues of our great religion to youngsters, but also allow them to be steeped in our traditions, culture, knowledge, and to develop a deep sense of awe and respect for our wonderful sampradaya from a very young age. The focus on youngsters has been initiated at the headquarters of our divine Sampradaya, Srirangam – the divine abode of the Lord known as Bhuloka Vaikuntam and the favorite divya kshetra of all our Acharyas. This movement is being spearheaded by a group of volunteers with the grace of the most brilliant, intellectual stalwart among Sri Vaishnava acharyas, Sri Parasara Bhattar. The movement is called "Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham" - - - - -to be continued
