Guest guest
Sat Nam! Please do some research on ear candling before you try it. My daughter and I practiced it briefly several years ago as it came highly recommended to us from a trusted person. After 1 session we decided to experiment as the "debris" coming from "our ears" did not seem right. We burned the cones over water creating a gentle suction (which neither of us felt in the actual candling) and the same debris appeared in the water. It came from the materials in the cones. There have been incidents of people actually being burned and damaging their ear canals with this practice. Blessings in Health! I second everything you said. Driving paraffin smoke and debris into the ear canal *may* have a 'cleansing' effect by causing irritation and stimulating the ear to clean itself but I don't suggest trying it! Read as much as you can from both sides of the issue before trying it (this goes for everything!). I have found that doing auricular therapy, Cranio-Sacral work, massage, aromatherapy and similar therapies are very effective to help clear the ears. There are many dietary approaches you can take to this as well, such as an anti-candida and dairy-free diet. Blessings and Be Well!
Guest guest
Thanks for replying!!!! I know cutting dairy may help... it's hard though as I don't eat meats or eggs... I actually don't drink milk but I have yogurt on a daily basis... and also protein shakes made with fruits and Whey protein. What do you eat in an anti candida vegetarian diet. Are there guidelines? Thank you much for your help! Sat Nam, Carla > I could have written that post! I second everything you said. Guest guest
As with most everything--you have to be careful and follow instructions carefully. Ear candling is safe when done correctly--and making sure to protet the ears for the first couple of days. A person must be prepared with the ear completely covered, a cup of water and scissors for the excess burn off--not to mention ear plugs for upto two days for the was to re-line the eardrum. The smoke creates a vacuum in the ear by filling the tube that is outside of the ear--little to no smoke actually enters the ear itself. I've heard countless stories of people having their doctor us a siringe to draw out plugs of ear-wax. One can hurt themselves practicing a Mantra incorrectly--I would think they would use serious precautions when dealing with fire and the eardrum. Yes ear candles should be used with caution--all practices of the body should be encountered with sincere mindfulness. Light guide your way on....
