4.22] :"He is the protector of the world, he is the firm bridge for

the sake of preserving order of the beings"

 

The Devi. Pr. also, "Wherefor you sustain the world and assign

functions to them. The root dha means to bear, sustain, hence she is

called by the wise the sustainer of the universe.
