Guest guest
Dear sadvhi ~ it seems I am getting all the best and clearest messages regarding my situation this morning as I try to catch up on the digests. Everything you wrote seems so pertinent, not just to my immediate circumstance, of course, but to our lives overall. "...with trust in the ultimate goodness of what lies beneath the surface...," and "...with a sense of humor (most of all about ourselves)...," seem especially relevant to me. If I can embrace these I may be able to see my mother, and interact with my family, after all. I pray it is so, because I do not want my mother to die without seeing her again. Jai Maa ~ Linda P.S. I missed the digest the story was in, and if anyone can tell me which number it was, or if it is on the website, I would love to go read it. sadvhi wrote: "As we would serve God"...means, to me...with gratitude, with constancy, with attention, with devotion, with a clear mind, with humility and as much 'self-awareness' as we are capable of in each moment, without clinging onto the "highs" or drowning in the "lows", with courage to embrace the stripping away of our own attachments and desires , with trust in the ultimate goodness of what lies beneath the surface , with acceptance of "what is" as being the best opportunity, with a sense of humor ( most of all about ourselves), with a sense of "allowing" rather than an attempt to control, with flexibility rather than rigidity, with the understanding (even if it is only in the mind at first) that we are ALREADY that which we long for and so is every other part of Creation.
