Guest guest
..Namaste, I hope someone can help me with my question. I have alot of concern about it. Thank you. When I sit and begin inwardly chanting OM NAMAH SHIVAYA, my body begins to instantly rock back and forth, vibrate, swing sideways, my head begins turning from side to side etc.... Is this good for me? Is it releasing stress from my body? Is it Kundalini energy? I dont want to do this if its not good for me but if it is then I will continue. After about ten minutes the movements stop and I continue chanting but with no more movement. I sincerely hope you can give me your idea about what is going on when this happens. Thank you so much again for taking the time to read my e mail. God bless you!! Ethan How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Sat Nam!!! Om Namah Shivaya is MY FAVORITE mantra.... it's a powerful one!!! That's what I chant when meditating with my mala. Now, I do the same thing you do when I chant this mantra. I rock back and forth, sideways... it's an emotion that I can explain. I never tried to stop it because I'm in the middle of my meditation but I'm sure that If I wanted to stop rocking I could.... can you? I guess that's the questions.... is not a uncontrallable movement, is it? I rock and I don't want to stop... that's the place where this mantra takes me... but it doesn't scare me at all... it feels good!!!! I guess my question is to you? when you start rocking, can you stop if you want to? I'm not an expert on this matter at all... so let's see what the other members of the group have to say! Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Carla, yes I could stop it if I wanted to but just the mere fact that it is happening makes me want to just go with it. I'm not frightened by it at all. I enjoy it. I just wanted to know if anyone knew WHy it was happening.. To release stress? Some spiritual reason? Funny that I have tried inwardly chanting many mantras yet this one (Om Namah Shivaya) is the only one that really gets my body rockin!!! If you saw me you would think you were looking at someone having a mild seizure. Thoughts? Mike How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates.
