Guest guest
I read in a CRI book that it is important to sleep in a certain direction so as to strengthen your electromagnetic field. Which direction is it?- Chris Ring'em or ping'em. Make PC-to-phone calls as low as 1¢/min with Messenger with Voice.
Guest guest
Dear Chris: Yogi Bhajan gave a demonstration once on how to get ready for sleep. I was not there at the time but I heard him describe it. I am describing it from memory now. First lay on your back and let go of all tension (one of my students calls this "down loading"). After you feel calm, turn on your belly. I forget what this part is for. Then turn on your right side, left nostril up. This allows for most the breathing to go through the left nostril and the left analytical brain can go to sleep. Blessings, Awtar
Guest guest
Dear Chris: I may not have answered your question as you intended in my previous answer. I think you mean direction as in North-South, South-North, East-West or West-East. I don't know the answer to that question. I know Feng-Shui offers guidelines which depend on the overall position of the front door of your house and then sleep direction depends on whether you want to improve wisdom or family harmony etc. I think these things truly matter. But I also think that if you tune in to yourself with a specific intention of improving your magnetic field and visualize how your bed direction should be in your bedroom, you will get the answer you need that's right for you independently of what different traditions teach. Also the Kundalini Yoga tradition teaches the importance of sheep or lamb skins when we practice yoga. One aspect of this became clear to me when I heard the story of someone dying of cancer. When this person slept on a sheep skin, they felt energized. Otherwise they felt drained. That person still died but the quality of life prior to dying was greatly enhanced by the sheep skin. The conclusion to that story is that sheep skins preserve the integrity of your system and I suspect that results in a healthier magnetic field. If you try this, please let us know how it helps you! All the best, and blessings, Awtar
Guest guest
In the early 1970's, Yogi Bhajan taught that you should sleep in an East-West alignment so as to break the pull and influence of the earth's magnetic field, which runs North-South. I have always speculated that it also has to do with the fact that an electric current is generated by passing wire through a magnetic field perpendicularly. I don't know whether Yogiji may have modified this advice at some later point in time. Steve Porter -- A.
