Guest guest
Dear sir, Thanks for the info. Is that prayer just applicable for chitra pournami only or all pournami in the year? Thanks in advance vedic astrology [vedic astrology]On Behalf Of dakshinastrologer Saturday, May 13, 2006 4:11 PM vedic astrology [vedic astrology] Chitra Pournami Dear All: Today is Chitra Pournami - an auspicious day for propitiating Lord Chitragupta - the Divine Accountant who keeps a track of our karmaa and who is the right-hand man of LOrd Yamaa. It is good to take saltless foods throughout the day in HIs honour and chant "Om Chitraguptaaya Namahaa". Natives running Ketu Dasa or Bhuktis, or who have unfavourable position of Ketu in their natal charts will definitely get benefitted by this fast. Everyone can meditate on Lord Chitragupta as a plumpty and short smiling man dressed in royal robes carrying a bundle of palm leaves, a golden stylus and Japa maala and beseech Him to forgive our transgressions of the past year to reduce our karmic burdens. WE should also make a solemn vow not to perform sins as far as possible. Blessed be. Pandit.R.DAKSHINAMOORTHI.
Guest guest
Dear Ms. Anuratha: The pooja on Shri. Chitragupta is mainly for Chitra Pournami day. On other pournami days, it is best to worship Divine Mother Lalitha Parameshwari or any of Her forms for all-round prosperity in the family. In fact, in the poorna chandra bimba (full globe of the Moon) Goddess Lalitha Parameshwari with all Her attendant Nityaa Devis is believed to be in Her Full Grace on Pournami Day. You can just perform any pooja or meditation to the reflection of the Moon on that day without even any invocation of the Deity. Just meditating on the Moon's globe and chanting any mantra will be very good for you if you cannot perform the detailed poojas as per scriptures. Blessed be. Pandit. Guest guest
Dear LIst members: What Pandit Arjunji has said is absolutely right. Taking a holy dip in any river or preferably the sea will definitely help in getting rid of many negativities in life and increase religious merit. In fact regular practise of such simple remedies will ensure that there is no unwanted karma in our lives at all. Pandit.
